Photo Challenge - Week of Jan. 6th

Outdoors- My frozen birdbath. In between- Family photo between books. Looking up- My almost finished mail at work . Delicate- Handmade glass artwork. Dark- My kind of dark sunglasses. Open - Open doorway to the basement . Artwork- The first original piece of art I ever bought, by local artist Cary Baker.

On the Counter

This is our dirty little secret- we let Nick drink from the bathroom sink. He has done this since he was a kitten and we gave up trying to break him of it. Crazy little cat loves water. He even tried to get in the shower with Hubby . So , if you are at my house, don't be surprised if Nick helps you wash your hands . Don't worry, we do clean the faucet,sink, counter ,etc  !

Fresh

This is my fresh new journal. I have not had a journal for quite some time, but thought I would try to keep one this year. I have a copy of a great - great aunt's journal of her wagon train journey to the west coast.   OK, mine will NOT be that exciting, but that was my inspiration. 

Relax

This is my idea of relaxing. A good book will work every time .

Organize

Jan. 2,2014   Today's photo challenge word is " organize" . This is my paternal Grandmother's handwritten recipe book. I want to scan and organize it to share with my family. Some recipes look good and some are a little quirky .

Today's photo challenge phrase is" A Goal ". I am going to try to eat more thoughtfully this year . More real food and less junk. I hate to cook and grocery shop, this will not be easy ........ Yes, I am lazy about food .
